KEYS TO SUCCESFULL CONTACT LENS WEAR
Proper fit
The fitting properties of a lens are determined by several factors including lens curvature, diameter, and power. The contact must fit well enough to center properly but not so tight as to prevent an adequate oxygen supply to the cornea. Considerable professional judgment is required in obtaining the best fit.
Motivation
Your desire to wear contacts must be great enough to get you through the normal adaptation and learning period. In more difficult prescriptions it may also mean multiple fitting visits in our office.
Cooperation
You must adhere to the prescribed schedules, cleaning procedures, and replacement cycles for you to have a sucessful experience in contact lens wear.
