Optometrist, Dr. Barry Kay, is an Eye Doctor in Hollywood Florida

Dr. Barry Kay has over 22 years experience as an Optometric Physician in South Florida. For many of those years Dr. Kay served as chief of Optometry in a busy multi-doctor surgical practice where he specialized in advanced vision and medical eye care. He also served as a clinical assistant professor for Nova Southeastern College of Optometry. He is a past president of the Broward County Optometric Association and was selected as the Broward County Optometrist of the year in 1989.

Dr. Kay’s eye training began at the University of Florida where he worked for the Department of Ophthalmology at Shands hospital during his undergraduate years. He went on to earn his Doctorates at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.

Dr. Kay is also quite active in his community. He is on the executive boards of both the Broward Outreach Center and the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the City of Hollywood Human Services Advisory Board and is the President of the Downtown Hollywood Business Association.
